  1. Even if it is never said loudly, Mr. Sarkozy has origin from Hungary. Probably his question against Roms (who are generally citizens of Romania) is somehow inherited from his grandfathers.

  2. Hi Pilland,

Concerning the French President there are a lot of open secrets, I suppose, that (not only) “Tout-Paris” knows and which are never said loudly. But should we not better leave the question what drives this Monsieur irrationally or in his subconscious to his biographers and psychoanalysts ?

In any case, I think what drives Sarkozy rationally and consciously in his political action, is his very own (not his grandfathers’) personal and political agenda, which is strictly speaking an agenda of class war.

Throughout his professional and political career, Sarkozy was always serving primarily the interests of the rich.

An now, in the midst of economic unrest and the calamity of his own presidency, he follows the cynical motto, freely adapted from Lenin:

“Capitalists can buy themselves out of any crisis, as long as they make the others pay.”

The others – that’s here the people, the workers, the strangers and the strange …

It was very easy to begin (or to try such crisis exit) with people like the Gypsies, that is in persecuting the mostly strange(rs). You don’t need a grandfather from Eastern Europe (or from wherever) to do that. You only have to use your base instincts as “thrilling politician”(Economist), great designer of diverting manoeuvres and gifted inventor of scapegoats.

The most other European political leaders are not much better. But I think it is a very good thing that Brussels has put at least this “natural talent” under close surveillance.

    Greetings, Matthias
